Barcelona

I have been a little under the weather for the past week, so I am just now getting around to sharing pictures from my trip last weekend. I went to Barcelona with a friend, and we had an amazing time there. Besides seeing all the wonderful sights, we stumbled into an annual event called "Tast a la Rambla." Different restaurants from around the city gather on Las Ramblas (a very popular and busy street) and prepare their specialty tapas. We had already eaten dinner, but we did enjoy the wine and band. Between all the amazing sights, Tast a la Rambla, and a spur of the moment boat ride, it was a fantastic trip that I won't soon be forgetting.

Once again, I have to apologize for the pictures. They just don't do justice to these beautiful places, especially when taken on an iPhone. Y'all will just have to believe me when I say that everything was breathtakingly beautiful.

Park Güell

It's near impossible to get a picture of the whole bench, so I put
this mosaic collage together (using close up shots).

Sevilla

It's funny how quickly you make friends with someone, while spending a significant amount of time in a foreign place. You almost immediately know whether or not this is someone whom you can see yourself going on adventures and exploring the city with. I am very fortunate to have found a travel buddy; not only do we get along very well, but we have the same goal for while we are abroad. We jumped right into making plans for weekend trips, and we haven't looked back. First stop: SEVILLA!

We just returned from three days in Sevilla this afternoon, and it was a perfect first weekend getaway in Spain. It is a beautiful city and I have tons of pictures that I almost don't want to share. They don't even begin to do justice to the sights I visited... you just had to be there to really appreciate the beauty.

To start, there were a TON of street performers there, mainly musicians and flamenco dancers:

Okay so that first guy obviously isn't a flamenco dancer. I can only imagine he lost a bet or he is getting married, either way, it was very entertaining to watch.

Reales Alcázares de Sevilla
The Royal Gardens in Sevilla are truly a work of art. I could have gotten lost in there for hours. Every time I turned a corner, there was something more to discover.

Catedral de Sevilla
There are no words I can use to describe the cathedral. From the moment you walk through the doors you are completely robbed of breath and speech. The pictures really do not do the building any justice at all, but I hope y'all can at least get an idea...

Views from atop the Giraldo tower. It was definitely worth the hike!

Adiós Sevilla! Next stop, Barcelona! :)
